The world is a place, that we all know.
We watch it fall down, We watch it grow.
This is our home, take care of it!

Gladice, age 4, USA

Alone

I think I'm in a world of loneliness.
When I sulk my life means nothingness.
I'm always alone
I always wanna go home
I never saw the end of time but I'll always be alone

Kearsten, age 10, USA

When I fall asleep the deep, dark night swallows up the room
All I have left is the moon
You give me light through the way
And cheer me up for I say
You are my candle though the night
Lighting the way for others too
You care for others when they're hurt
I know you care for me too
I know you are sorry for hurting our hearts
But I forgive you everyday
I wish I could see you
But I see you every night
You are the moon

Rachel, age 13, USA

Haven

The haven
Unknown to all
They live below us, haven

Their pool, a big bright pool
Is like a liquid mirror
They have brought to us
Haven

Their magic flows between the dark
And the light
But beware they have to recharge
What they call, Ritual
That's Haven

They could be your friend
They could be your foe
But remember
It is of no consequence,
Haven

Nic, age 12, Australia

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
My sister is sweet
are you sweet too?

Emily, age 9, USA

Earth Day

Trees,
Colours sway in glee
Flowers,
A beautiful sight to see
Clouds,
Oh, how they can be,
The Earth

Cacey, age 14, USA

Rain, rain, rain,
knocking on the window pane.
Puddles everywhere.
One million drops at a time it seems.
But wait there are some sunbeams!
The sun has come out to play today!

Lizzie, age 9, America

Sisters together
Sisters apart

That's how close
my TF and I are

Eva, age 12, USA

I wrote your name in the sand,
But the waves washed it away.
I wrote your name on my hand,
But I washed it the next day
I wrote your name on a piece of paper,
But I accidentally threw it away...
I wrote your name in my heart and forever it will stay
If kisses were raindrops,
I'd send you showers.
If hugs were minutes,
I'd send you hours.
If smiles were an ocean,
I'd send you the sea.
If love was a person I'd send you me

Gemma, age 12, New Zealand

I love you
I hate you
I see you
I hear you
You're the only boy for me
I think we're meant to be

Margaret, age 16, USA

It's magic when you are here beside me.
Close your eyes and let me hold you tight.
Everything that I could ever need is right here in my arms tonight.

Courtney, age 10, USA

Best Friends

I'll love you till the end
that's why we mend
like mash potatoes
but I hate tomatoes
You are my everything
that's why I love you
You are my sunshine
that's why you're mine!

I love you best friend! <333

Ashley, age 17, USA

Love

Matt was "L" but was home with the flu,
Lynn, our "O" had some homework to do,
Alan, "E" probably got lost on the way
So I'm all of love that could make it to day.

Ryan, age 13, USA

Gone!

Gone,
You both are soon going to be gone,
You are each moving far away,
My best friends,
How could I loose them,
Gone?

Gone

Gone like the wind,
I don't know you anymore,
You used to be my friend,
But I don't know what happened,
Gone?

Gone,
Forever you will be,
I need to accept that,
But I can't,
I love you and put,
Time and energy towards you,
Gone?

They are gone,
And I am left,
I am a wad of dust,
Mounted together,
And forgotten about,
GONE!

Markeita, age 13, USA

I'm so scared,
Not of it,
Not of you,
But of what I've become,
I know that I need help,
I'm trying,
But I don't want it,
And don't know where to look,
You're both leaving me,
What should I do?

Help,
I'm scared of,
Not it,
Nor you
But rather me

Markeita, age 13, USA

To somebody I love,
I have always wondered, if you love me,
I have always wondered, if you love someone else,
I have always dreamed, every night,
If we'd stay together, for the future to come.
I love you.

Imogen, age 10, Australia

I've got two boys in my class at school, they keep saying I'm hot,
But I don't know if they if they are kidding.
I wish I knew, so I could express my feelings for the first time.
Please tell me if you love me or not.

Imogen, age 10, Australia

If you believe
You should do
Because believing
is the ultimate key to life

So take what I have said and go and achieve greatness.

Eva , age 12, USA

Winter has ended, spring is here,
The sun is shining on the bright faces,
The night is bright and clear,
Daffodils rise singing, "Oh Winter you lost the battle"
Farmers are now taking out their cattle,
A promise of spring from the magnificent rainbow,
Lambs are prancing, springing and jumping.

Gabby, age 10, England

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
Sugar is sweet and I miss you
I often dream of sunsets and moonlight,
everyday I say to myself he just might,
He just might come and make my day,
He just might come and take the pain away,
You often say you care and that you will always be here,
but when I turn around you are not there,
Sometimes I have a pity party, but the only thing you have to say is "I'm so sorry"
Actions speak louder than words, so don't apologize to me,
I need you here with me to make things better.
Grass is green, the clouds are white
There's an answer I keep hearing you say, "Baby I might"
but don't say you might because you know it's the truth...
My life is miserable because you are gone and I miss you
You say I am your baby, but trust me I'm not a baby anymore
I'm growing into a young lady that will always shed many tears
when you are gone on with your happy life away from me,
always remembering that every time that I ask a question I will hear the dreadful answer...
"I might." I have learned that everything will not go the way I want it to go,
but after all that I have been through I can truly say that losing you from being around me
Everything is way better than losing you forever, no matter the weather
I will love you forever because rain, hail, sleet or snow, I will love you more than you will ever know
and I mean it from the bottom of my heart to the depths of my soul
that not knowing how you are doing is really, really, really cold because of one painful answer to me,
"Baby I might." Please come see me, I really miss you and I need you in my sight
and I need you to be by my side during the cold, painful night.

Lilly, age 14, USA

Can You See It?

Can you see it?
Can you see it in the distance?
It's getting closer,
it's almost here!

Can you feel it coming?
Are you even watching?
You better get prepared,
it's almost here!

Can you wait?
Are you ready?,
There's no turning it away,
It's almost here!

I'm getting excited!
I'm totally ready!
I'm running towards it!
Because it's here!

Summer, The World

One day, a monkey got out in May.
He was fat and just like that,
he started rolling down the hill.
Down that hill did he sure roll,
so he got a great big toll.
He went to court,
but he was short,
about $100.
He went to jail but he had bail,
so now he's out again.
But homesick was he
and as you can see
he went back to the zoo.

Rachel, age 11, USA

Too cute
Yes I will go out with you
Love you
Every time I see you I smile
Really hot

Anonymous, age 11, USA

Eve, age 9, England

I'm not gonna take what you give to me.
I'm only gonna take what I want you see.
I'm not gonna let you run over me.
I'm not gonna you see.
I'm gonna stand up for myself.

Cassidy, age 11, USA

Why do you love me?
I'm asking you this
Do you love when we hug
Do you love when we kiss
Do you love when we're together
or when we're apart
am I in your thoughts
do I have your heart
You make me laugh
when we're together
you make me feel
light as a feather
I love when you kiss me
it takes my breath away
then I start to wonder
if you're here to stay
You say you love me
all the time
is it love or lust
runs through my mind
I don't really know why
but I just do
maybe someday you'll realize
just how much I love you

Tori, age 16, USA

I wanted to be yours, forever and always.
I wanted to lay in your arms, and wake up to your smile.
We went through hard times and were back on top.
But we still have to go on, and never ever stop.
You told me you loved me and maybe it was true.
But some things you said and did just weren't the right thing to do.
I forgave and forgot and it was the best I did yet.
But my heart can't take anymore pain so don't do anything you might regret.

Alexis, age 14, USA

I'm so bored!
Oh so bored!
Whatever can I do?!
I'm so bored!
Oh so bored!
How bout you?
I wish I could go to a place
where all you could see is my beaming face!
But you will not as long as I'm here!
Because I'm so bored!
That's pretty clear!
I wish I could do something totally fun!
Where every one is smiling, even the sun!
but it's rainy, dark, and cold...
I'm permanently stuck in a blah mode....

If There Was A Flood What Would I Take With Me?

If there was a flood,
What would I take with me?

I would take my passport with me,
So I can go to other countries to flee.

I would also take my hand phone with me,
So if I get lost, I could call Mummy.

Many people put valuables in plastic bags in a hurry,
As if the flood is really that bad and scary.

Occasionally bolts of lightning shot across the sky,
I can hear some children scream and cry.

If there was a flood,
What would I take with me?

Ho See, age 9, Singapore

Confused

My knees start to shake,
When you're in sight
My mind is filled with wonder,
My heart with fright.

When will this feeling stop?
When did it start?
How can I listen to my mind,
Without breaking my heart?

I am so confused.
What should I do?
I can't think of anything
Except you.

Should I ignore you,
Or just give it time?
I can't think straight,
My heart controls my mind!

Sheila, age 14, USA
