I guess I am writing this because well I don't know what I'm writing this for. I'm just bored. I would like to meet my 2 favourite authors one day. They are Gary Paulsen and Gary Soto. They're the best.

Squigly,
Do you review the poems, stories, etc. before you post them?
Laurel, age 13, USA
Yes everything is read and edited prior to being posted on the site. Thanks for asking. ~Squigly
I really would like to take a few moments to recommend a book to you. It is called Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine. It is about a young girl named Ella who is cursed by a really foolish fairy named Lucinda. The curse is that whenever she is commanded to do something she has to obey even if she is commanded to cut off her own head she would have to do it! I am not finished with this book yet but it is good so far!

I used to like this boy but I found out he was my cousin and now I am mad. The worst thing is that we were hugging at the festival and I think a lot of people saw us. Oh well, he's my cousin. Ten years from now I will laugh at this. His aunt say he's my cousin so I don't know who to believe. I am not taking any chances of going with the boy because he might just be my cousin. I think he is now, after his aunt said so. At least I know he's my cousin. I have some cute cousins.

I have a huge crush on a guy called Robinson and I don't think he loves me. But guess what? He just called me out for a date to the disco and there he told me that he has the hugest crush on me and did not know how to tell me.

A forbidden life is long, but if you think about it its full of love, romance and danger.
When you do something you can't you're scared of being caught and chances are you're doing it because of love. Now you see why a forbidden life is great and dangerous.Christina, age 12, USA
Are you bored? Well you should be after all the boring stuff you do. So that's why you should start reading. Do you want to have bad eyesight and use your Nintendo DS or do you want to be nice to your eyes and read a book? We all know the answer, so start reading today!

Dear Squigly
I'm sure you know me, Squigly, as I am one of those so called 'old customers' in your web. Anyway I am writing this to congratulate you on your great work and also to submit a book review.
I am an irregular reader. I have read through the early years and have stopped reading ever since I have entered elementary school, although my writing skills have not at all diminished. I have just started reading again this month. Presumably because of my English teacher that forces the lot of us to read at least one book per week. Anyway, I got hooked up to a series that to me, is quite interesting. Artemis Fowl is now currently my all time favourite series.
Artemis Fowl, is written by an Irish man, Eoin Colfer, so there is no wonder that Artemis Fowl is based on Ireland and has a bit of Irish in some of the books. This series of five books is about Artemis Fowl, that is a criminal mastermind, twelve year old genius. From the start, he took up the investigating of fairies, sprites, goblins, dwarves and all of those magical creatures. He finds out they are real and has gone to their world, Haven, below in the ground. Artemis then goes through a series of mind wipes and adventures, with the main 'magical' creatures Captain Holly Short, Foaly, Commander Julius Root, and Mulch Diggums. Opal Koboi also appears as one of the villains in the stories. Throughout the stories, it gave me a rather sympathetic and touching emotion on Artemis and the rest. Eoin Colfer has done a brilliant job at keeping it realistic. I can't really describe the emotions that I felt through these fantastic books, you really need to read them to understand. I encourage EVERYBODY, young or old, to read these series. I'd give a double thumbs up to the author, Eoin Colfer.

The world is a classroom and we are the students. No one wants to go to school, but by the time we get there we know why we're there. Because who made us sent us there and paid for it. We learn a lot such as grace, politeness and niceness. God wants us to do what he sent us here for.
