Painted Rocks Pin It
Painting rocks is fun! Use them to decorate a flower garden or why not start
a friendship garden? The next time you have a friend over or at your next birthday
party paint rocks.
Thank you Chelsey, age 12, from Canada for sharing your idea of a friendship
garden.
What you need:
 |
acrylic paints |
 |
 |
clean rocks |
 |
newspaper |
 |
paintbrushes |
 |
exterior clear Varathane in a spray can |
| |
 |
 |
What you do:
| 1. |
Wash rocks and let them dry.
|
| 2. |
Cover your painting area with newspaper and paint your rocks. Ask your
friends to autograph and date their rock. Let them dry.
|
| 3. |
Once the rocks are dry take them outside and lay them on newspaper or
cardboard and ask an adult to spray them with Varathane. Make sure all the
painted areas are sprayed. Spraying the rocks with Varathane will make them
shiny and protect the paint! Once the rocks are dry, place them in your
garden. |
